Personality
Bucket is a naturally very upbeat person. Playful and honest to the core, he is always looking to befriend everyone he meets, strictly believing in Orihime's philosophies of the possibility of friendship and comraderie with everyone, that fishmen can be accepted and befriend humans. Prone to being a bit of a prankster and rude when teasing, he does mean best with most of everyone he meets.
To this effect, thanks to his desire to bring even the smallest bit of joy and ease the burden of most everyone he meets, Bucket is someone with a willpower bordering on the unbreakable, gifted with endless self confidence and unshakable in his values and convictions, believing that, as long as someone has even the smallest bit of humanity in them, then it's worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears to bring it all out.
He is not all play since, as a fishman, he is very much aware of the view that humanity in general has of his race, as well as the terrible treatment that they have gotten for being different. While not subscribing to Arlong's ideas, he still recognizes that wounds are open and some will desire revenge for it. To make sure that they heal, he seeks to become someone influential and strong enough to at least help change his homeland into a better place and bring prosperity and peace to his people.
He is not all altruism and good, however. He is still slightly racist and prejudiced against humans to an almost instinctive level, always on guard and suspicious until they prove themselves otherwise, as well as being a temperamental being when feeling sleighed or prejudiced against. A lover of all things violence, Bucket's obsession borders on sadomasochism, showing no apparent fear when something includes pain to himself or others he does not like.
Appearance
Bukbuk is a Pearly Nautilus Fishman. Being an incredibly tall, yet stocky and muscled being has made Bucket into what is best described as a wall of pure muscle, tremendously intimidating to the general populace. His entire torso being marred with small scratches and a calloused skin that remains incredibly soft and slightly slimy all the same thanks to his cephalopod side. A striking feature is the huge scar on his right pectoral, a clear burn mark.
He is entirely bald too, his head being replaced instead by a bucket-shaped silver cylindrical shell that serves as the protection to his fish-bits, namely his entire face and tentacles. On the rare moments he "opens" his shell's mouth to do things like eat or drink, he does so through small tentacles that protrude out of it.
His eyes are also seemingly cartoony, their shape prone to shifting harshly and comically, his irises seemingly having free movement. Though this does not give him advantages, it looks kinda weird.
In terms of style, Bucket usually leans towards lighter clothing that doesn't get soaked so easily when he is out on his swims, like t-shirts and simple pants or shorts, their design not being important to him at all, being incredibly nonpicky with it -- he believes he looks good in anything.
He isn't above wearing something a bit more formal like suits, though he prefers not to, enjoying his freedom of movement.

Background
All things considered, Bukbuk has lead a peaceful life. Born to fishmen parents, Bucket was blessed by an unnaturally great height for his subspecies, showing himself as a naturally gifted martial artist in the ever famous Fishman Karate dojo. His passion, however, found itself in helping others, leading to him stopping his training early on to just get his education and working hard labor with everyone who needed. His huge stature was ever useful with anyone who'd accept his help and, in time, his friendly and open demeanor earned him a great deal of friends, including the pride and joy of his parents. Life was great for him...
And it remained this way.
Nothing bad had happened in his life during the time he lived there, never having himself or his parents been targeted by bad pirates. And though some of his personal friends had been hit, they did escape as well. Things were good, as far as things were considered, yet Bucket could not stand for the lack of smiles in the people after every time something like this happened.
Another person that would dissappear and they'd smile even less.
Bukbuk couldn't just accept this and, wishing to put his efforts towards solving this situation, departed from Fishman Island, to set out into the world on his own and continue his martial arts training, hoping to eventually find the elusive Revolutionary army and join them.
More recently, Bucket arrived at the East Blue, following the popular knowledge of it being the weakest sea, desiring to hone his skills and strength there while looking for the Revolutionaries, often swimming freely within its easy waters, choosing to harass smaller Marine vessels with his superior underwater combat abilities: by opening up holes in the ship, let the vessel sink and maul the overboard marines.
Though he is not considered a major threat by any means, this constant harassment and clear danger that the weird-looking humanoid creature possesses to the safety of Marine travels have earned him the title of "Underseas Abomination", with a bounty to go along with it.
He continues to do this, in his effort to find someone, something that'll lead him to his goal - his real starting point of joining the organization he truly believes in.
After all, one day, he swears, he'll see his people smile again.
