Despite the denizens who came to watch the arena events gaining rapid protection, the combatants within the ring still had to press on with the ocean further joining in on the fight. Oboro at least was in suitable enough condition to take on the rough currents of the rapidly changing field, years of experience traversing stormy seas under his belt despite not growing up around Fishman Island like the other two competitors did. He continued to try and scan around for Marina who may have been lost to the waves at this point. For the time being, Tally was still out of sight so he could at least buy himself some time to take up a more adventitious position or even try and locate the piranha girl.
With more water rushing in, Oboro brace himself for another current to come coursing around him. His electro-receptors were doing him no favors at locating any possible signs of Marina’s movements amongst the rushing undersea currents.
“Well that kind of leaves me with plan B then...” he murmured to himself as he swam around some the rocky rubble that had scattered about from their previous location before the water came pouring in. The hammerhead fishman reached into his belt and pulled out a few loose nails, untying his sling from his wrench and notching his next shot. Now he just needed her to show herself again...
And almost on cue, Tally emerged from the former lake, now sinkhole, and had walked further into the arena space. The crowd erupted into cheer despite almost having an ocean dropped on them, celebrating the Octopus woman for her impressive display. If he could just remain hidden, maybe this was the chance he needed to get a strike in on her. He just needed to stay out of sight. Oboro remained behind his collapsed pillar, crept down alongside the rest of the debris as to lower his rather large profile. He gripped at his notch and beginning to pull the string back while Tally delivered her declaration to them both. ”Keep your guard down... Keep looking away...”
“LIKE. HELL!” Came a booming voice from across the collapsed arena. Oboro loosened his pull for a moment as he recognized the voice from afar. Standing atop the remains of the already shattered slab of rock she had crashed upon, Marina stood tattered, beaten, and bruised, cuts scattered across her body that Tally indirectly had given her after the bubble burst. Marina slowly walked forward with her eyes fixated on Tally, spitting out a bit of blood which only dispersed around freely within the water. “I’m not out yet...” Catching a bit of a second wind, Marina made an attempt to run at Tally despite her injuries, pushing herself through whatever pain she was feeling at the moment.
Oboro meanwhile was shocked to see Marina still standing. She was an idiot for trying to push through with those kinds of injuries but her sudden return to the action gave him the opening he needed. Returning to what he was previously attempting to do beforehand, Oboro pulled back on the Tide-Turner and took aim. When he had Tally centered where he wanted her, he fired, shooting forward his makeshift ammunition at her current position.
