”Shite! They found meh quickly,” Tyr thought to himself as the next group of mooks barreled towards him with not much time to act, though that did little to stop him. Tyr instinctively kept running towards them, firmly grasping his greataxe with one hand and winding up, then chucking it forward at one of the men who hadn’t leaped at him. For such a heavy weapon, it flew pretty nicely thanks to Tyr’s howitzer of a throwing arm, though the same couldn’t be said for his accuracy. The weapon glanced off of the side of one man’s helmet, causing him to jerk back, tangle his feet, and trip. Ordinarily a glancing blow wouldn’t amount to much, but given the mass and speed of the thrown weapon, it was enough to disorient and knock him off his feet. If that combatant survived the night, they would likely still hear the ringing in their ear into the next day at least.
As soon as Tyr threw the weapon, he ran even faster before leaping up, extending his arms superior to his head, swinging his legs up and over, and going horizontal. He caught them in a jumping crossbody, plucking them out of the air and slamming down right on top of them into the ground, leaving them stunned and breathless. Tyr quickly scrambled to his feet, grabbing his main weapon, immediately bringing it up to intercept the downward slash of one of the remaining men of this squad. His eyes immediately shifted and locked onto the other as he approached, attempting to take advantage of the clash and exploit an opening. Tyr was having none of that as he angled his weapon to the side, causing the first soldier’s sword to slide off into the way of the oncoming second soldier and disrupting his advance. Taking advantage of an opening of his own creation, Tyr quickly tensed up, swinging his greataxe the other way with great force. The loud ringing, reverberations, and metallic groans and crackles filled the air as one sword shattered, two cuirasses ripped open, and blood splattered. Tyr relaxed as the two fell, briefly admiring his handiwork. Were they still alive? Were they still breathing? Probably, but Tyr didn’t bother to stop and check. He would leave them to their fate as he turned and continued running.
As he continued on his flight through the streets, the glowing that came from one of his pouches forced him to re-examine what he had looted from one of the men. Pulling out the device, he squinted real hard, forgetting just how godsdamned bright this thing was. He figured it was bound to attract more attention to him, like a beacon, so he did the next best thing he could think of...which was to stuff it down his britches. With the glowing considerably less, but still present and shining through just a little around the crotch area, he found his way onto Lovely Street. And wouldn’t you know it? There was Gen, right outside the house. ”Oi Gen!” Tyr shouted as he skidded to a halt right next to his red Tengu acquaintance. ”Tha fock’s goin’ on? Some sods decide ta pick t’night fer a raid or summint?”
