Syph Post #1
The Daibukai. Who were they? The warlords of the sea, the men and woman chosen for their ability to stand above all others in their field. Legends unto themselves, those who nominally acted in the name of the World Government to keep the waters clear of what would be called fouler folk than them. Clearly not the case ... Syph thought to herself as she stood haphazardly on top of a railing staring one of their members down her blade sparking up against the Daibukai's staff.
Working in the World Government's name? Please, she had many issues with that ... thing. But she suspected they would not be huge fans of some of the actions taken by the Black Coven organization run by this member of 'their' Daibukai. Not to mention what she had so recently experienced from the Daibukai, at the very least, she doubted she was fouler folk than this one. "It's been so long. I've missed you." Syph growled at the Daibukai the obvious irony dripping from her words.
"I'm going to need you to leave." She said, whether she was convinced that she could force that was a different question. While she'd gotten here okay, the thousand little scratches over her body were wearing at her consciousness. She still didn't feel all too well. The freedom definitely helped but it didn't do much to stop the effects of what had been ... probably at least a week of starvation and torture. Honestly she was not sure how long it had been.
But she was here now. That was what mattered, that was what she needed to believe is what mattered. "Let's dance. Daihibi!" Syph broke her sword's press into the Daibukai's staff pulling it up over her head both of her hands grasping onto the blade, haki imbued itself into the bread. And she swung down, as it came down it pulled a blade of air down to angle itself forward and downward.
Lawrence's blade was blocked again, this time by like a large blade from that woman. The knight blinked as he looked upon her with disgust. The devilish woman unchained, he frowned reminding himself to punish the incompetent guards who had been working this area. After he exorcised this devil, for he was a knight , a saint and it was his job to deliver the world from her. "Hah. Not to worry you'll soon join all of your kind in the depths of hell. I, the Paragon Knight promise that much."
Yes, he'd have to deal with her. But first, there were some extras that should be dealt with. Lawrence stepped back at a diagonal letting up the pressure on the odachi facing him allowing it to slide harmlessly past him. That would give him the space he needed. So first, he had his options, the lucky sob who'd redirected his blade once, the blue fool who'd made him drop his keys, and the two women, one of which was already knocked out.
The ones who could move first Lawrence supposed the lowest amount of attention paid to the devil before him. She could wait her turn to have her life extinguished by his holy blade. His blade rose, its angle adjusting in a moment. Then suddenly jumping back to open up the room for his swing he slashed it downwards. "FRAGARACH" The blade cut through the air releasing a wide arcing blade of air that would sever steel that shot forth with a growing width one end of it aimed specifically at the man who'd blocked his first killing blow. Who'd denied someone his holy smite.
Yes that'd be his first casualty. A cruel grin spread across Saint Lawrence's face. God would be pleased today for his catch.
