The Great Illusian Heist (Part One)

It was pouring in Illusia more respectively in its southern port of Barbada Town. The sky was a dark gunmetal grey with raindrops falling like knives from the sky. Flashes of lightning lighting the sky up every so often. Despite this, a muggy atmosphere was felt in the air as the cool water mixed in with warm air.

Loki was covered in a brown cloak it fluttering in the air wildly. He hid in a dark alley watching as Merchants unloaded ships despite the terrible weather... money was worth a lot to them worth more than their own health even. He backed off into the darkness only the glare of his red triangle shaped sunglasses visible and the morbid smile of chalk white shark teeth. He walked through the various maze that was the alleys of wooden walls. Until he came upon a lone metal door that was bolted and heavily reinforced. Loki walked up to the door and knocked to the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" this promptly caused a bunch of locks to open and eventually the door itself was opened by a tall muscular man with a long bushy beard he resembled something like a Viking or Barbarian. "Oi! Welcome to the Black Flag Inn!" He said to Loki who simply smiled and slowly walked in.

Inside the inn was dimly lit, the candle holders being actual skulls with the candlesticks just plastered onto them. All sort of unsavory folk sat around simply drinking or discussing adventures they've had and what not a Blonde 'Cat-Girl' in maid's clothes tended to everyone. Loki walked through all the tables his chains clinking, he went unnoticed he walked up to the barkeep who was cleaning a cup. "Sir Perry... Its been a while." The barkeep looked up he was a man in his 50's with grey husky muttonchops and a big round nose. "Loki?" The man asked. "Is that really you!?!" Loki removed the hooded part of his cloak revealing his appearance... his pale blue skin shined against the dim light. He gave Sir William a toothy grin and a wink. "The one and only..." Loki blurted out, the man seemed a bit astonished but his astonishment quickly turned into a smile. Thing is... Sir William was a former inmate back when Loki was in prison he too escaped the night Loki broke out.

"What is it you want Loki?" Sir William asked him he continued cleaning the cup. Loki took a seat. "Well old friend I am looking for the craziest group of people I can find... hopefully they can help me with a little heist I have planned." Loki chuckled and leaned back on the chair. Sir William's eyes opened wide. "What do you mean?" Loki looked around the Inn and leaned in closer. "I have a partner whole meet me over in Ilias... our plan... drain the Kingdom's treasury clean..." Loki finished.
Sir William went pale and was clearly in shock those were some big words... but he didn't doubt Loki's capability at the finish the task at hand.
"So... its folks you're looking to recruit?" Sir William asked.
Loki nodded. "Very well then..." Sir William's responded.

As rain battered the streets and its pedestrians, the dock workers were moving with a bit more intent as they wanted to finish their work and get out of this blasted weather. As lightning crashed down to the earth, the light illuminated a rather small figure darting from one of the ships. It was only for the briefest of moments and it would have taken a great bit of attention to tell if it was little more than a small creature. But this diminutive shadow darted from dark spot to the next, clearly trying to avoid any unwanted eyes. Most were too distracted by the storm to pay him much mind anyway.

Jumpy eventually found himself in an alleyway, believing that he could relax for a bit as nobody on that ship would have known he was a stowaway at this point. the dwarf let out a sigh of relief until he heard footsteps approaching him. Turning to face the potential threat, he saw an odd sight. A fishman! It had been quite some time since he had met one and he had found their kind interesting, to say the least. They had been oppressed just like his own tribe, which oddly enough made the small soldier feel a small kinship, even if that wasn't shared amongst all their kind. So, the jumpy dwarf followed the fishman to a metal door in an alleyway, curious why someone would place a door there.

As he listened to the rather odd rhythmic knocking the man used, the tiny warrior watched as the door opened to a rather large and hairy man welcoming them into the building. Knowing not to stay still for too long to avoid being detected, Junpei darted under the tables, just fast enough that only those looking down would spot him. He was sure though that one or two of the serves had spotted him, hearing a small gasp or words of spotting a rodent on the ground. The dwarf grimaced at this comparison as he got to the bar. But he shrugged it off as he found a hole that been left by just such a creature in the bar, slipping through as his stomach grumbled with hunger. He quickly found a remedy tot hat problem, spotting some freshly cooked meat on a plate, probably ready to be served. He darted up, likely in view of only Loki as grabbed the meal and darted back to a safe spot to eat it.

Sir William got up. "I'll be back... I got a gang ya gotta meet now stay put." He said before departing. Loki simply sat on his chair staring into the flame of the candle. This Sir William guy he met was on an old inmate of his... Perry William also is known as Sir William he had been knighted by the Queen of some distant island in the North Blue in his early days.

It seemed he had strayed from whatever heroic path he once was on and landed in the old South Blue prison Loki had been stuck in. He was a guy however that knew people... he had contacts and as such was a valuable asset in a criminal's social networking. Did you need someone to hire? Contact Sir William he knew the man right for just about any job you needed to be done and for that reason Loki was here.

Out of the corner of his eye, the Fishman spotted something moving... was a rat? He looked at the meat placed in the table in front of him whoever it belonged to was likely in the restroom... when suddenly he saw with his very own eyes what seemed like a tiny person taking the meat and running away to a crack in the wall. Loki blinked... he couldn't believe what he had just seen was he going crazy? Had all the sea water finally gotten to his head? "Not cool bro..." He whispered to himself before he stood up and went to investigate such an oddity.

BeFore the Fishman even reached the hole, he'd manage to hear a loud burping sound emanate from the hole in the wall. The small dwarf warrior had already scarfed down his stolen meal, the telltale sign of a full belly making it clear what he had done with his spoils. He grinned a bit, licking his fingers clean. It was around that time that it became obvious something was blocking out a good portion of the light, making the bouncy man turn to see a pupil staring into his whole.

Not in a particularly defensive mindset, the dwarf panicked, thinking that it was the intended recipient of the meal he had stolen. As his hand touched the ground, it seemed to warp under his weight, slowly sinking into a dome shape. As he kicked off, the sunken floor seemed to spring up like a trampoline, propelling him further up the crawlspace beyond what the spy could see. The only indication of where he was being the sound of him knocking around in the walls. By that point, many of the patrons of this illicit bar were now drawn to the noises, which occasionally was joined by a few choice swears as he did manage to rebound in time and hit a hard surface.

The Fishman was taken aback by the burping sound and further when what he thought was a mouse suddenly sprang into action rebounding from wall to wall as if it where a trampoline of sorts.

Some of the tavern's patrons became mildly annoyed at the bouncing obejct, being, thing? Whatever it was they found the fact it was bouncing around annoying... these where unsavory people not taking any sort of 'nonsense' lightly... they had some edge to their personalities if you will.

Loki stood up and dusted himself, Sir William appeared behind him. "Eh... Loki?" He inquired what the Fishman was doing. "Oh... uhh sorry I thought I spotted a mouse but I it was just my imagination." The Fishman said raising his sunglasses. There was a moment of awkward silence as both men looked each other in the eye. Finally Loki broke the silence. "You got the people?" He asked Sir William.
"Yeah... just follow me upstairs! I'll introduce them to you!" Sir William said ad he walked up the stairs nearby. The old wooden stairs looked and felt like they where about to collapse... every step on them made a loud creaking noise that irritated the ears. Luckily the Inn below was loud enough to silence any sound made by the annoying stairs.
