A toast? Kano glanced at the glass before him before putting forth his hand grasping the glass forcefully. His fingers wrapped about it he held it in a vice as he brought it before his face taking a glance at what was within. The yellowy liquid within had nice bubbles rising up within it. They fizzled and popped in a way that was alike to all the drinks he'd enjoyed in the past.
So why not? He brought it forth to give it a sniff before pausing as Nero mentioned someone else. A miss, Kano and Oliver weren't female, even if he'd crossdressed in the past he wasn't doing so at the moment. The youth leaned back in his chair turning his head to look behind him. Moments later a girl likely younger than him popped out from behind the wall. She was tense overly tense, fumbling over words and the like.
Kano chuckled, "Well, why don't you take a seat Remi. There's plenty of room to my left and to my right. Unless of course you'd prefer to sit beside him." He gestured towards Nero with a single hand. Giving Nero a wink he continued to grin unabashedly. "You should get on with your toast." Kano addressed Nero as he let his chair fall back into place from where it had been starting to tilt backwards.
Speaking of the toast, he brought the glass close once more giving it a sniff before letting some of the drink slide into his mouth. And he blanched, it was bubbly in the way he liked, but rather than sweet it was bitter. Kano eyed the drink with a furor unto his own. Betrayal by drink, he dropped the glass onto the table allowing it to hit and bounce, the liquid sloshing out. Oliver glanced over at the sound the cat eyed Kano carefully though he shrugged it off.
He looked back to the herald, "Got anything better than this crap drink. Something sweeter, or maybe something with a little zing to it." With a finger he pointed to the glass that he'd just dropped. He turned his attention away before he could get a response. Grabbing another piece of bread he tore a part off and casually tossed it into his mouth.
"The drinks not good, but the bread is great. Anyways, come on now. Toast." The fool smiled cheekily at his 'host'.
