Syph Post #44 / Jaq Post #40
The black blade grasped in her hands arced down like an executioner's ax. From the peripheries of her vision she saw both of the marine's blades swinging in towards her. This time however something was different, red flames licked at the edge of one and wisps of something poured off the steel of the other.
There was no stopping this, haki that she could spare solidified on her sides as she expected the worst. The three blades clashed, they crackled against each other as the black katana pressed against the pair crossing before it. Fire crackled across the edges of it nipping at her semi-protected side. Her hands felt a chill as the ice that crept up the second blade spread onto her own. Syphalia grimaced as she put more force into her own blade.
With a roar of energy she pushed away the vice admiral. The woman was barely troubled by this skipping back naturally as if she'd chosen to do this. She gave a glance at the hilt of her blade, the icy web that grasped the hilt and part of the sword was troubling. "Fire and Ice, how ... mythological ..." She muttered to herself, Syph's eyes narrowed upon the marine before her.
The two blades grasped in her hands each shone with their own elemental affinity. Flames licked up the first twisting and turning, ice evaporated off the second in wisps of vapor. "I am the Slayer of Ogres, Vice Admiral Onis." The vice admiral said with extreme certainty. The first blade swung forth, flames rushed off it charging forwards toward Syphalia. Jumping to the side the fire instead crashed into the wall beside her. Heat flared up behind her, it was a welcome change.
The marine bound forward swinging down with her blade. Kurohime turned it aside, the white ice grasping at its blade before spreading across the wall her opponent's blade had nicked. "What a pain ..." Syphalia muttered. Black vapor seemed to rise as it looked like the haki on her blade began to evaporate.
"Just ignore her" Arlen said in a murmur as Lilin's form rose upwards quickly. Honestly, for Jaq she took up a bit too much room in the shortish lock-up area. From what he could tell her head looked to be touching the ceiling. "Ignore her, right." He responded nodding to himself. The boxer headed for the exit with the rifleman and his youth in tow. Stopping for a moment he glanced at the stylist as he walked by, "So you're a Shogun now?" He said not expecting or waiting for a response.
Having said it he ran past grasping the door with one hand. Jaq bit his lip, "Wai-" Gyato's word was cut off as the boxer threw open the door knocking a running marine silly as he was sprinting down the hallway. The boxer smiled and laughed as he stepped into the hallway. Given the mass of footsteps the marines were still reacting to something, someone.
Fingers curled together and muscles bulged up. "I said wait dammit." The youth yelled hitting Jaq in the side with what felt to be the hilt of his blade. Jaq rubbed his ribs glaring back at the defiant youngster. "The plan?" Arlen prompted as he stepped out into the hallway looking down one way to the other.
"Syph's distracting them, we're to get out as fast, and as quietly as possible. This ... prison break wasn't actually part of the plan." Gyato said in a low voice to keep others from hearing. The rifleman nodded, a basic understanding passing between the two. One Jaq couldn't pick up in the slightest. "So we bust out the front!" The boxer said with a smile before rushing down the hallway the marine had just been. If they cursed it sounded all garbled to Jaq, but the sound of two pairs of feet following him told him he was going the right way.
