With a firm step forward and an array of people behind her Syphalia took the first step into the mouth of the cave. Set behind her was her party of four. Arlen, the oldest of her companions, sniper and quartermaster for her ship, came first. With his usual suit on and his rifle shouldered he was as ready as he always was, a fact she counted on consistently. Next came Lilin, the pipsqueak she'd met recently, the devilish swordswoman with a Mythical Zoan. She was much a mystery to Syphalia but her interest in the smoking character had been growing ever since their first encounter the night before. Topping off their group was Mary, the reporter girl they'd recently saved from being sacrificed and eaten by a giant frog, and Gerolot, the frog knight, a talking frog whose antiquated ideas of chivalry she was pretty sure were going to get him killed sooner or later.
She glanced back momentarily looking at this strange group she'd amassed in the search for the rider of the elephant-sized frog who'd fled down here. Nodding to herself she turned her attention forward once more Well this ought to be interesting ..
From where she stood the maw of the cave was lit from the light spewing through the clouds. The opening in the rocks made way to an oddly flat path leading inwards. Yes there was gravel rolling about and shifts in the heights of the rocks that were consistent with a cave but there seemed to be a central-ish path that was a little too easy to walk for her liking. From within the cave the echoes of dropping water formed a soft drumbeat constant yet random as the soft sounds of them rebounded and faded throughout it all. And above it she could barely make out the patter of feet upon stone as it raced further and further away from them.
As the one it seemed who was leading the group she walked in first, as the shadows of the cave surrounded her and the light at her back dimmed the rest of her by comparison her red eyes began to show more brightly. "Keep an eye out for treasure. The tribute that was brought here on past might be laying around here." She pointed out as the thought passed through her mind as she strolled deeper into the cave. The sound of feet behind her began to drown out the sound of the footsteps ahead of her.
A slow inhale brought in air holding it there for a moment. And then with an exhale she let it out and with it her haki spread across the cave. It went further and further out pushing through the rock labyrinth before returning to her. She felt only one presence not with them, "He's ahead." Putting foot to stone she increased her pace jogging in further.
