"Tha's some sort of adventurer then, eh?" Lilin nodded her head in approval. "Then we walk similar paths, lass! I'm an adventurer of sorts myself - though 'drifter' is the word I use more often."
She led the way to the outside, where a few small tables and chairs were laying out on the inn's front porch. Lilin picked one near the edge of the building with a stool, which she claimed with a short hop onto the seat, resting in a sort of squatting position. She tossed the pack of cards onto the table in front of her as she drew another small clump of dried tobacco and a match, drawing it across the table's surface in order to produce the flame to light her pipe once more.
As the lit match disappeared in the woman's mouth yet again, she closed her eyes and considered her answer for a moment, allowing Syph some time to get seated herself. "But what brings me here, hm... A whole mess of circumstances, for true." Lilin grinned and tilted her head forward a bit, looking at the dark-haired woman in front of her with a wild look. "I am a drifter, aye, brought here on the winds - but I've also pissed off all the right people and made acquaintances of all the wrong! So it goes, so it goes."
She picked the deck up, sliding the cards out of their case and started shuffling them, never taking her eyes off the girl in front of her. "Supplies, tha say - and a ship. The boy here with tha too... Tha's more than tha let on, but a woman's allowed her unshared stories. Tell me, then," she said, taking her eyes from Syph for the first time since she sat down as she slammed the deck against the table, putting the cards back into a neat alignment, "do tha believe in chance? Or would tha rather fix the deck afore the game even starts?"
