Alignment: A Patient Neutral Good
PatienceKanra can be patient when given the chance. She prefers to give things the time they need, stopping to think before making differences. She is fairly patient in most situations, though certain things, especially when caused by stupidity can test her patience greatly. If you've decided to defer medical care she has zero patience for you and will detain you if need be.
JudgementalKanra can be judgemental, often one will find her looking at them with furrowed brows. She is often weighing your choices as she does her own. What and why did you do it, was it worth it all of these things. From there she will build her own impression of you, and sometimes this can lead to very bad early introductions to her. Once she has judged you only action and repeated action can really hope to change her mind.
SeriousKanra is a pretty serious person she isn't one to make light or make jokes in most situations. She's often been accused of having no sense of humor, which isn't completely true she just doesn't put it to use very much. For the most part she does take most situations quite seriously. Mostly it's because she doesn't see a point in messing around, efficiency and quality are more important.
WordlessKanra is a woman of few words.She thinks before she speaks and doesn't speak unless she figures it necessary. Often conversations with her contain long silences as she ponders how to respond to each thing that is said to her.
SadisticKanra does pretty well to hide this but she does take a fair amount of enjoyment at witnessing others in pain. It is perhaps the surest way to bring a slight smile to her face. She doesn't advertise it nor does she normally act on her more sadistic urges but a close observer may see the signs.

AppearanceKanra is a bit on the thin side with long legs and arms. Lanky as she is she still moves with dignity and style. She has elegant and well-maintained black hair that nearly touches the ground when she stands at full height. It flows out behind her shrouding her in black.Her face is strong with sharp features and can be a little disturbing with somewhat beady black eyes. It is often found with a slight frown across her face as it is her normal thinking face.
Kanra's choice of clothing is very uninteresting. She generally only wears clothes that are black or white or some mix of the two. These clothes are often form fitting and sleek holding tightly to her flat body. Kanra has a preference for clothes falling on the more formal side of things. Often she can be found wearing long upper-arm length gloves and thigh-high stockings. But other than those two the clothes vary, shorts, skirts, button-ups, jackets and the like all fit into her wardrobe so long as they are white/black or a mix.

She is excellent at throwing a fine stitch. If you ask her she'll tell you she'd probably in the top 1%, but just doesn't have the recognition of the community at large..
Medical ExpertiseKanra has a good grasp of medical knowledge though she doesn't excel at it quite as much as she does at the actual mechanics of surgery. Of course that's why she has books and the like to bolster her where her knowledge can be lacking. When it comes to common wounds, breaks, and the like she can be serviceable and of course is very good at making sure there are little to no scars.
CookingKanra can make extremely beautiful looking … food. The recommendation however is not to try the food because as good as it looks, it often straddles the line to completely falls over the line of edibility. She should not be trusted to cook meals.
FishingKanra's hobby in life is fishing, she enjoys the quiet and the patient waiting. She is fairly good at fishing and for the most point just enjoys the whole of it. When on a boat she can often been found sitting off the stern next to a fishing pole.

With her wondrous fingers and excessively fine motor control she makes magic happen. In the world there are few that are superior in the technical ability of it than Kanra.
Sharp Eyes - Human Trait #2Kanra has extremely good vision seeing with more quality than most at all ranges. However she is best suited to vision at close range, seeing with extreme detail its part of the skills she uses to stand at the top of her profession.

The volcanic glass is most often black, and is most notable for its extreme sharpness. Often edges created by Kanra will be many times sharper than their steel equivalents. Kanra is somewhat reliant on the Koku Koku no Mi as part of her fighting style for lack of any true combat training. It granting her the ability to become, create, and manipulate obsidian comes into great handy in this case. Allowing her the near flawless defense of a logia user and the precise attack power of obsidian's sharpness it makes someone who isn't much more dangerous than a regular human into a scary prospect.

-Family-Yougan Family - Parents - Kanra's two parents are both upstanding citizens of whom she is very proud. Her father the doctor and her mother the tinker and part-time assistant are somewhat role-models for her as she moves forward in her life. She has so much love for them, but has set her sights on her future. And thus has chosen to leave them behind until the day comes that she feels ready to return.-Friends-None Yet

{History}
Youth (0-11)Kanra was born on Dawn Island in a small village fairly far away from the capital. Instead they lived on the opposing side of the island, with their regional hub being another port. Her family was wealthy for their small village but in the grand scheme of things was at best middle class. Her father was the town doctor, owning a fair number of books on many different subjects that related to the medical profession. Kanra grew up as a rather docile girl, due to her father's profession their family was both well known and somewhat disliked. As is often the case, the doctor is both the most expected to make miracles and the most blamed for when things go wrong. It was a tough life and Kanra instead of playing with the other children often stayed inside with her mother reading books and playing with gadgets and gizmos that her mother made for her.
When she was forced to go outside she found peace in fishing in a nearby river. It was a quiet calming activity for her to pursue without having to deal with other rowdier and more annoying children. It also tended to be quite peaceful allowing her to set up a small fire and read a book when the sun was too hot to stand at the riverbank. This hobby she also picked up from her father though he didn't go on as many fishing outings as she did as he was much busier than she was. But it became a hobby that she continued throughout her whole life.
Tutelage (12-17)When she turned twelve as was expected by her father she became his assistant. This mostly came out of her father's want to allow her to continue their family's relatively good life due to the important role they played in the community. So Kanra began to learn medicine, both by reading books and by watching her father practice it on patients. Her training started slow as she didn't really show much interest on top of the enormous amount of information to learn.
It took two years for her to even grasp enough of the information she had to take in to make any use of it. But practice and hands on experience slowly began to make its value seen as she improved steadily. Due to her father's work however she ended up getting a lot more time in practical experience doing small things like stitching, applying bandages, and the like rather than studying. Since he was the most qualified doctor in the villages around the area he ended up seeing a lot more work than some other ones in the surrounding villages. While she gained a good education doing this in the end she was limited by what her father had on hand. So her book-learning stalled out while she continued to practice her needlework and then eventually scalpel-work as well.
Medical School (18-20)Eventually it became apparent to herself and her father that the space for her to grow even further was limited. So she was sent to the regional hub to a local medical school to try and improve. At the school she flourished, quickly taking to the surgery subdivision like fire to oil. Drawn in her star quickly rose in the school though more through pure technical ability than anything else.
For her surgery became as much an addiction as it was a skill to learn. She put off book learning and the like to put hours into practice and skill. Her fingers garnered hours and hours of training to become extremely precise in their use. Excelling in her field she grew to quick prominence at her school as one to watch, a prodigy among students when it comes to surgery. Graduating far earlier than most students she took only two and a half years to gain her full license to practice medicine from the school. The license in actuality meant very little save for proof that she had graduated from a medical school.
Doctor Afloat (20-21)Having graduated Kanra considered returning to her home and in fact did for a short while before deciding quickly that she needed more experience abroad. So gathering her stuff almost within a week of arriving she left to head to the Capital. Her trip was long and annoying, upon it is when she eventually ate the Koku Koku no Mi. Suffice to say the circumstances of her eating it were quite unfortunate, and eating it was an unpleasant way top it off. But in the end she arrived at the Capital and spent a short while as a physician in the villages outside of it even making a short trip to Foosha island out of curiosity. In the end she too set sail from Goa Kingdom out to the water of the East Blues to seek greater learning.
