BOOM!
An enormous eruption exploded out of the seas! At first, the waters swirled like a giant whirlpool before rising up into the heavens, taking on the form of a tornado mixed with wind, water and debris. The violent nightmarish phenomenon manifested without warning, yet there was not a single stormy cloud in the cerulean sky. At the eye of the powerful vortex, a demonic creature rose up with leathery bat wings, ascending far beyond the dispersing winds.
In his arms, he held a young fourteen-year old girl who had one eyes squeezed shut and the other eye peeking at the catastrophic scene unfolding before her. Two titanic monsters had clashed in a dragged out battle. Rebecca clung onto her brother tautly as they hovered across the seas down below. They were both soaking wet from the spray of high-spinning water. She could hear her brother’s huffing and puffing. The winged savior was a Zoan-user. His stamina was clearly running low. It wouldn’t surprise her if he was moving on pure willpower as of now.
The aftermath of the battle had resulted in a heavily damaged submarine that now remains submerged in the ocean. However, the fight for survivor wasn’t over yet.
“Grr-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!” Laughter echoed out of the dissipating vortex. “I thought was a goner!” A giant furred beast kicked the air itself, hopping in midair to prevent himself from falling. He appeared to be a fourteen-foot tall bipedal tiger with long pants but otherwise shirtless. Around his wrists were black, iron-spiked bracelets.
“How is he doing that?” Rebecca looked over her brother’s shoulder, gazing at the monstrous feline who was now pursuing them in midair through a series of jumps and hops.
“Tch..., he must have copied that technique from someone else. That’s Geppou, one of the techniques of Rokushiki. This isn’t the first time that I’ve seen someone use it,” the winged hooded figure informed. At the very least, he was slightly faster having the natural physiological means of flight; the only thing holding him back is the added weight of having to carry another body.
“Haah... Haah...,” he panted before pointing out one last ray of hope, “I see an island...”
