Her advance on the next pair was quicker this time, feeling the rush of battle in her veins the energy was beginning to take her. All the same the metal plating of her enemies would be a pain no doubt. There was a short distance separating her from them now though neither paid much attention to the oncoming girl wielding her bloody blade. For that she could not much blame them, they were still in their ongoing duel, steel constantly clanging about them. Surely a simple glance away could spell their demise. Not that she didn't either, but they could not be expected to know that.
Eyes narrowing she flourished her blade once, it has been well sated by the previous combats and now it responded to the use. The blade a once boring steel gray now began to shine. Light of a soft red started upon the blade, giving it a reddish gleam. But it was soon the orange of a setting sun hot, furious, and full of life. The startling change in color was normal it seemed to Syphalia, but to the knights the sudden second light source they turned their attention. But once more the blade changed, hotter still it became, the heat radiating from it licking itself upon the hilt and hand. Now it was a sun radiant, a bright yellow rampant upon the world. Its glory matched only by the smile upon Syphalia's face as those two faced her. From here the blood began to wisp away, the heat of the blade too much for even blood. "So you've noticed me." She said with disinterest.
Helm guards fell and they both turned to face her. Originally she had planned to play kingmaker, choose a side and wear one down than the other. But apparently her plan had been taken by them, the illuminating sword might've been too effective it seemed. Should be interesting ... U'll just have to aim for the joints ... There was the option of simply cutting straight through their castle-forged steel breastplates, but it seemed tiresome. She'd seen much of their swordplay already, but they'd seen none of hers. Raising their swords to the sides of their head like they were some two-handed weapon the pair charged upon her.
A small pink tongue slipped out. From left to right it lathered her lips in a bit of saliva. Stepping forward her ankle bent and she turned her direction to the one approaching on her left. Her blade like the fury rose clashing against the man's own weapon. Heat and power, the force of her attack knocked back the man's weapon and she slid further to the left placing her chosen opponent between her and the other. Her opponent at the very least had as much to recover in time to deal with her next attack. The blade alight crashed into his steel sword once again and thought the weight of the armor be behind it she repelled it once more. Though this time taking an unfortunate steel foot to the abdomen.
Syphalia tumbled backwards, the foot had torn the black shirt she'd been wearing on the day. It revealed the lighter skin beneath the shirt bruised red from the impact. Beside them the older scar marks of dangerous combats of the past. In a moment she brought herself to her feet again shaking off the surprise of the kick. She should've known it was laughable that she got hit by such a thing, it was something she was even known to do. Perhaps its the weariness ... piling atop the use of haki was the burning blade which drained her in its own way. Then I should finish this faster ...
She closed her eyes and breathed. Her sword which stood beside her was now placed by her waist as if it were sheathed once more. Her blade alight and clean of trouble she smiled. The knight charged her with weapon in hand, he understood the value of initiative but for him it was too late. She took a breath filling her chest with air as he closed in. In an instant it was left, her blade flashed out, its yellow trace through the air the only tell of where it had been. Syphalia disappeared, but only for a moment.
Stepping past him she searched for the other. The one she had been fighting fell to his knees, his sword split clean at his feet, his breastplate sliced open. A wound stricken across his chest cauterized as soon as the blade had cut it. It was the mercy of her weapon's heat. He fell flat, not that she cared anymore. Her eyes turned about to find Arlen blade in hand dismantling the other knight. His weapon whipped about the knight's blade cutting at joints and licking about him until the man yielded the fight altogether.
"Well fought." She called out to him, he was more bruised than she in general though his clothes were still less revealing than hers. He turned to glance at her whipping his weapon to the side to remove what were likely splotches of blood upon its needle-like blade. "I suppose ..."
I'll introduce them next post ...
