It is often thought by many that the great ocean of the world known as South Blue was the warmest sea there was. Dotted with nations that seemed to possess an overabundance of sand, surf and most of all sun, it seemed that this body of water that was neither up, down nor right of the world’s centre was something of a paradise. Simple logic dictating that given the makeup of the world that the northern and southern quarters of the world would have similar climates, it seemed rather odd that one was more noted for its cool climbs and the other the opposite. Perhaps a simple matter of human psychology meaning that north means cold and south means hot, it did not at all account for those who did not have the luck to live above the equator, for such souls south meant cold and north had a hotter meaning. However, for our tale this has little bearing, as it takes place in a warm land in the south known as Aityaia.
A tropical paradise filled with beaches and blazing sun, as well as the odd rumour now and then that their dense jungle hosted a clan of Ninja, Aityaia was certainly a place with certain charm of its character. We could definitely delve deeply into the relaxed vibe and getaway feel that this place held, and even talk at length about the many bars and eateries it had. Yet we are not going to do that. Not only is this picture painting prose providing something of a deja-vu in this land, it also isn’t completely true at the moment. The sun still beating down with that gentle hotness that should have melted stress away and the tides rolling backward and forward with an ocean opera that could sooth any soul, while all the pieces were there to find fun and frolicking good times in Maethen, the streets were absent of these things. It was a shame really that this gentle charm had been forced away, but the circumstances of which we shall not delve too deeply into at this precise moment, for now we shall focus on a girl. But why is a girl so important?
“Urmph~” A soft and pleasured moan escaping the mouth of our mentioned Miss, as something that she felt like she had been missing for far too long entered her body, this particular blonde shivered with delight and felt even as she was stuffed that she wanted more. Those sun coloured tresses shifting as her hand shot forward to take more of what she desired, the young woman licked her lips and would probably have been drooling had her mouth not been filled in a moment.
“Oh god, i-is sho~” Practically incoherent as she indulged that blissful fullness, the violet eyes of this indulgent individual fell backwards as she sank into this feeling of delight. A softness passing through her lips and making her cheeks bulge, through her nose this violet eyed beauty snorted for breath like a pig as she indulged herself before swallowing hard, each and every morsel of what she gobbled feeling like a doughy ambrosia she was imbibing.
“It’s so good, gimme more!” Crumbs on her cheeks as she found herself forgoing cutlery and using the most ancient set of tools, the hands of our famished focus were filled with clumps of bread as she wiped up sauce smeared across her plate and demanded more. Positively starved and desperate to feel herself full, the girl had already polished off a sizeable pile of plates to her side and still didn’t sense that she was stuffed just yet, grinning at the cook opposite and waving for more food to be passed her way.
“Can’t beat some good ol' home cookin~!” The pan opposite her firing with a sizzle once more as meat and eggs were tossed inside it, with a deep breath this blonde and breadcrumb bearded beauty leaned back in her seat and gave a sigh, leaning back in her chair and finding that the café she had entered was surprisingly empty.
“Surprised you don’t have more customers when the food’s this good, buddy!” The brow above one of those pale indigo gems bobbing as she saw that she was the only patron here, the man who was cooking for her jerked his shoulders in a shrug and seemed reluctant to talk about his lack of business. Our lady lead afforded a moment of quiet as she waited for her thirteenth course to be cooked, as she hummed softly to herself and looked for something to occupy her attention, it seems natural for us to take a moment to learn why we are following this gluttonous girl.
The name of this diner a small act of alliteration, she had been born to a man with the name of Rackham and given the name of Roxanne at that little event. Preferring those she liked to call her the shorter form of ‘Roxy’, this wide eyed and hungry thing was dressed in a pair of black shorts and high brown boots, but that wasn’t to say that was all she wore. Over her top an orange shirt wrapped around with a buttoned jacket of tan tone that clung to her waist and chest, her outfit was a bit uncoordinated and definitely not particularly ladylike, but this was a girl who didn’t sweat those kind of small details. Definitely a big improvement on the black and white striped onesie she had arrived in, while the clothes she now wore had been acquired by wholly legal means they were comfortable enough and didn’t paint her for the criminal that she truly was.
Penniless and without a possession to her name, Miss Rackham ran her hands backward through the messy hair that she possessed, enjoying the fact that she could now move her mitts exactly as she wishes. Iron manacles wrapping around those slender arms for much of the past few years, the arrival of the girl in this land had been about as lawful as how she had laid her hands on the outfit she wore. Skipping out on a prisoner transport by way of a rowboat, she had rolled those oars for what felt like months before washing up on the beach here, but one shouldn’t assume she was a wrong ‘un simply because she had broken out of jail after a three year confinement.
Charged and sentenced for an assault that nearly killed a man, this too should not be held against her. Neither should the fact that she had been a street thug before this misdeed, or the knowledge that she was born to a pair of pirates. This knowledge was definitely things that stood against this blonde beauty becoming the hero of our tale, and yet they didn’t. There were plenty of things about this girl that could have easily told you that she was bad, but you shouldn’t believe them. This was definitely a wonderful woman to be counted on by any in need, and while we have yet to really show you why that was as she resumed stuffing her face with food she likely never intended to pay for, eventually we will get around to doing just that…
