Yet another stop on her ever expanding adventure. It was crowded like most port towns were and she did her best to keep out of people’s way. She particularly kept a close watch on those who seemed like they were lingering too close to her and for too long. She was a bit more cautious than most of the people who were pushing their way through the crowds but they didn’t have the same fear she possessed. Why should they when this country was a proud supporter of the world government?
Johanna wasn’t going to let that fact bother her though much like she didn’t when she was on other countries that were supporters of the world government. It would only be suspicious if she did openly object to the people who was practically in charge of almost everything. She was already a pirate even if she wasn’t on a crew nor looked like much of one. However, all those new wanted posters only proved to her that even the most normal looking of people could end up being a pirate.
Pirates were welcomed into this town despite the fact that there was a Marine base on the island. It was the perfect place to just look around at different ingredients and see if she could ‘hear’ anything about the all blue. That would require her finding a place to just sit and watch the people around her. For now, she was fine just walking along the stalls that were set up and look at what fresh ingredients she might be able to get her hands on today. She still had things left over from her last shopping trip and that was mainly because she had bought too much in the first place. She had gotten pretty excited with all the interesting things she had found back on the last island.
Jo was determined to not make that same mistake this time because she was only one person and she could eat it all herself. She never really ate that much anyway but she was always willing to stick around so she could give away some of her cooking if she had to. She mainly kept to herself as she looked at what each stall had to offer. As she continued on down the road, a smell entered her nose and she couldn’t help but push her way through the crowd so she could find the culprit.
It just so happened that on her way to the delicate smell that her nose had caught she bumped into the wrong person. A pirate who happened to realize that she was a girl half his size and wanted to take advantage of the fact. Most people shied away as the guy went barreling after her since his initial call of ‘hey you bitch’ didn’t seem to get her attention. He followed her as she appeared to remain clueless to the man as he stomped behind her. She had reached her destination just before the man put his hand on her shoulder forcing her to turn to look at him.
“Oi. I said hey you bitch. Why you act like you can just bump into whoever you please without apologizing?” The man said to Johanna who was still really just focusing on the baked goods before her and didn’t happen to catch what the man had said at all.
