Debris fell and people were injured but Navi was not, he seemed to take no damage what so ever. What chunks of wood that did seem to fall towards him were stopped by a single outstretched hand and batted away as if it were paper balls. The last of the wooden beams that fell landed in his open hand and stopped dead in its tracks. Coco seemed to be lucky with just a small lump of wood hitting her head, the most Navi had to worry about for her was a concussion. Those who could not escape the localised earthquake were not so lucky; they were either trapped or crushed by bits of the building itself which was going to collapse in on itself at any moment.
Dropping the captive he had in one hand, Navi could now use his full potential to protect himself and get some answers. He owed Coco that much at least, he would get answers and find who did this. After that, it may be fun to see what one plucky exotic girl and her work colleagues can do. Using his free hand Navi would catch the beam and with ease shift it into a more suitable position to help hold the space above the bar area up. “Time to get some answers” The scruffy man said as he picked up the scrambling man who was trying to get to his feet whilst his captor was avoiding the tail end of his nasty work.
“No, get off! Let go!” The scrambling saboteur shouted but to no avail to the man, whose eyes screamed danger. Navi did not listen, he only picked up the suspect and flung him over his shoulder with ease, carrying a man seemed like Childs play to this seasoned drinker. “You don’t know who you are messing with! Let go now and the big guys will spare you.” He pleaded whilst punching at the Hawaiian shirted man’s back. It was as if he already knew what was about to come, he knew that he messed up and it would only be a matter of time before he was put to the test. A test he did not want to face, because he did not know if he could keep his mouth shut and the penalty for blabbing was death.
The exit was open and Navi took his chance to leave in all of the confusion, with the mass of people who managed to survive or not get injured he walked out, only to look back and see one of the most amazing things he has seen since coming to the blues. He saw Coco doing something most people would consider witchcraft, she was employing her deal with the devil, and she was helping others with a power granted to her by the devil at the cost of her ability to swim. As he stood and watched more he saw the thick brown gooey substance ooze from her body and support the Luna Laguna. “It’s either get questioned by me or the girl who has a pretty scary looking devil fruit ability… I think I am your safest option bud.”
As the pair left and stepped into the full light of day covered in booth rubble and dust Navi noticed something, not something terribly new but it was refreshing. People were coming to the aid of the Luna Laguna. Shopkeepers, barkeeps, and even holidaymakers were rushing into the building to help the people who were still inside. This was good, Coco would be seen to quickly for her head injury and she would be able to do something about the attack… but first Navi had to get some information out of this idiot.
Walking to a store that was next to the Laguna Navi would push the door open and see no one was inside. ‘Perfect’. He thought to himself before taking his detainee to the back room and throwing him to the floor. “You, my friend have had terrible luck; honestly I don’t know what the devil fruit user would have done to you…. But it would have been far more humane than what I have planned for you if you don’t tell me who sent you.” Navi said as his left and grabbed a pair of scissors that was sat on the closest counter in the small kitchen area as his right hand became flat and the fingers were bent to look like claws. “Either way I am the bad cop-” Navi started before tilting his head to the left and making his neck click. “And I’m all out of mercy.”
A look of fear filled this young man’s eyes as he started to panic and scramble backwards until he hit the far wall, he had nowhere to go and no one would hear his cries for help over the outside world being too focused on helping their neighbours.
