There on the beach, standing beside a small boat overturned upon the sand such that it would not be pulled away there stood a man. So unlike his surroundings he stood out greatly, it was clear to see that he did not belong. Nor did he even look particularly comfortable as his hand moved to adjust the position of his clothes perhaps to let in some air. Here on this island, the tropical climate was nothing but horrible for those wearing his clothing. Though why he would wear that clothing here was likely because it was the only close he had. There was no bag or whatever beside him that might be a place where he kept his other belongings.
Still the man stood there, possibly pondering something. His black and white suit standing out definitely from the scenic beach which surrounded him. Though the suit was unbuttoned and the black tie's grasp around his neck loosened one would probably still think him uncomfortable. With black everything covering his body and two sheaths at his right there had never been a more out of place person standing on said beach. That being said, those were not even the oddest part, the oddest part was a mask. Not just any mask, but a gas mask which sat atop his face hiding his more recognizable features. Even the glass lenses behind which his eyes would have been visible were fogged up and one was as unlikely to see inside it as he was likely to see something outside of the mask.
"God damn this mask sometimes." The annoyed voice rose from the man's mouth. As he lifted the gas mask off of his face revealing a pale looking man with equally fogged up glasses upon his face. He apparently was fighting a battle with condensation which he was nowhere close to winning. In two quick motions he cleaned off any sign of condensation on either of the pieces of face-wear replaced the glasses back on their spot and instead placed the gas mask upon his head. "In any case why did it have to be an island like this." His rhetorical question to himself went unanswered and seemed simply more a way for him to vent steam about his own current unhappiness. Which was actually an odd thing for him as he was usually quite the happy person. But the current sweat he was producing in combination with the heat and humidity had been just enough to get him down at least for a short while.
In the end he simply cursed the reason he came here. His hunt for that man in the stupid pink shirt was an affront to everything he was wearing. Thus needed to be taken down, it was only a bonus that the weird looking man named "False Priest" Elias Strong had a bounty upon his head. Alec had been rather happy about that, 19,000,000 beri was definitely something to be happy about. It would keep him monetarily in the clean for a long time. It had been a long time since he began tracking this man, probably something around three to four weeks ago it had began when he had seen the picture of him on a bounty board on Viktas.
Immediately captured by the stupidity of the clothes the man had been wearing Alec had decided that this would be his target. Finding no leads on Viktas he did something only Bounty Hunters could really do, he searched for leads at the Pirate's Market. Marines would never be able to look for information there though it was one of the best places to hear about the comings and goings of wanted men. On an island run by former pirates, only those without the symbol of the World Government on there back could move even slightly freely. It was there that he had picked up the trail of Elias Priest.
Stories of some weirdo self-proclaimed priest preaching about his prophet Phalarion. A prophet would lead all to the next age. An age of freedom from the treacherous World Government or something to that extent. The pirates not caring about some fanatic's mad ravings had ignored most of it. They were not in the habit of directly challenging the government, leave that to the revolutionaries. The majority had waved him off and most had no idea where he had gone after he had left the Pirate's Market in search of followers.
Either way the search had led him here, to this remote tropical island. Looking around he wondered why in the world that man would have come here. The view was boring, long sandy beaches, palm trees, lush green grass, and other fruit trees abounding on his left. On his right the clear blue ocean a vast expanse heading out into the distance. How uninteresting, and yet this is where the man on the last island he had been to had said Elias was going. At least it was a small island, Alec smiled finding him would be easy. No doubt about that.
"Maybe theres more to see inland ..." Alec mused.
