It was sunrise on Cinna island. After a tumultuous night at the local bar it was a fitting scene of reset. The piercing sun rays pierced the morning fog making way for a typical hot and humid day. On the portside everyone was asleep and enjoying their deep slumber. The sweet air on the island, caused by the massive production and trade of sugar, is attributed to a long but relaxing nap. Even the seagulls, who were usually crying 24/7 and the pesky mosquito were not immune to this effect.
Down the strip of shops on the port was one of the many inns specifically called ' the Bug bed'. It was a bit rundown and had a subpar standard of cleanliness compared to the other inns. It is a wonder why this place has not been shutdown. Probably because of the prices. The inn wasn't your typical inn it was often inhabited by the either the most unruly people or the poorest of the poor. One of the guests was Toho Hawkes, well who generally inhabited both qualities these days. It had been his second day, revisiting his home island. He planned on looking for his old home, which was probably abandoned in respect of their deaths, yesterday but alas was distracted by his run in with the marines. And by the time he escaped, he was too tired to do much looking.
With the lack of beri, Toho's inn room was about the size of a standard closet. It was cramped and only had enough room for a bed and a miniature night stand. The bed showed signs of wear and tear and looked like it would collapse any minute. The mattress itself was extremely thin and had feathers and fluff sticking out in odd places. The blanket wasn't even a blanket rather it was a large potato sack. If it wasn't for Cinna's hot humid temperatures that continued to persist through the night Toho probably would've froze to death. The nightstand also shown signs of damage and probably would collapse under the slightest of pressure.
Luckily for the start out pirate he did not have much belongings except for the clothes on his back and his yellow portable electric guitar with a built in amp. While the room was small he could fit in it with ease. And with his lack of stuff, the bed was able to barely accommodate his weight and the nightstand with its nothingness.
Two hours after sunrise was when the pirate woke up. 'Hnnnr where am I' he thought as he sat up disorientated. Despite feeling rested his back was in a bit of pain due no doubt to the shoddy workmanship of the bed. Once he remembered where he was he grinned slightly. Today Toho was fairly certain that he will take his first step towards ruling the seas.
