IF I MAY INTERJECT
In regards to the awakening ability, i believe that, as has been mentioned before, it will be unique depending on the fruit. Though i feel like awakening abilities will always have a sort of irony to them. They will always effect the surroundings of the user, but it wouldn't exactly make sense if Luffy could stretch the world around him, considering he can only stretch himself.
Doffy was able to turn the world around him into strings, which was very reminiscent of how he was treating the kingdom of Dressrosa, and eventually as his kingdom was crumbling around him, and his executives were beaten, he ended up with a bunch of string, but no puppets. So in that sense i feel like its a bit ironic, if you understand what i mean.
This does present the thoughts of how someone like Luffy would awaken his powers however. Luffy isn't a production type like Doffy or Magellan. Instead he is what i like to refer to as a "Morph Type" in that the users body morphs to take on the properties of something else, while not exactly being a Logia.
Because of this, and what we've seen based on Doffy's awakening, i find it hard to place an idea to Luffy's potential awakening. But if i had to guess, i would go back to what Luffy said as he was fighting Doffy, he mentioned that, as Doffy was demonstrating the power of his awakening he seemed to be "not even a paramecia anymore" with that in mind, i feel like Luffy's powers might evolve to mimic the stretching powers of American Superheros Mr. Fantastic and Plastic Man. These two have stretching powers like Luffy, but unlike Luffy, their bodies are not Rubber, and allow them to stay stretched out indefinitely. This is just a first glance guess, but it would be pretty cool to see how this evolves.
