Leo and Kusatta had now been sailing away from the island of Marius for about a day. The swordsman, who technically was now a pirate captain, although he wondered if he could really call himself that as he only had one crew member. One injured crew member at that. Leo did his best to patch up his new friend with what little supplies was available on the small boat, but all he could manage was to stop the bleeding and set Kusatta's arm in place so that he didn't hurt himself any further. Leo did know some basic first aid but he really wasn't any kind of doctor nor did he have the means to properly mend Kusatta's arm.
As regards to food, the two were somewhat lucky, there was a fishing rod on the ship and Leo used the very little he knew about cooking fish so that the two wouldn't starve, or at least he will as soon as he catches a fish. As regards to the preparation itself, sadly all he knew was what his grandfather taught him, sashimi. Leo's grandfather, Zatoshi, came from the Wa no Kuni, a country of the Grand Line. Supposedly those who traveled at sea and were from Wa ate slice raw fish. Leo wasn't a big fan but it was still better than starving.
Suddenly, Leo felt a strong pull on his line. Success! thought the young captain who pulled on the line with all his strength. After a few seconds of effort, Leo managed to pull out lunch. It was a tuna! Great! Something that big out to feed them for the rest of the day. Leo quickly proceeded to cleaning the fish and slice fillets out of the best parts. He put them on a small plates and gave on to Kusatta. "There you go." the "captain" said before he proceeded to eat his own share.
After eating and correcting the course of the ship to the closest island that wasn't part of the Empire, Leo heard the sound of the Postal Bird that delivered newspapers. The young swordsman waved his arms and called to it. After paying for his paper and the bird flew away Leo noticed that something else was stuck in the pages of his newspaper. What could it be? he wondered.
