(Spoilers) Implications of OP 735

What do you all think would happen if "Fujitora's Ambition" were to come to fruition?

Clearly the WG got a slew of ringers from their global enlistment, but what are the real implications of the dissolution of the Royal Shichibukai? I have some ideas of my own, but i'de like to hear what you guys think might happen.

It is a very smart decision from the Marine's point of view. Seriously, the Shichibukai have done more harm than good for the World Government. First there was Crocodile's secret bounty hunter group and trying to restore a weapon from the Lost Century.
Then there's Doflamingo and his underground connections.

Basically, all the Shichibukai do not serve or trust the world Government in any way (except for Kuma, but he's robots now), and were all using the position to their own advantage - protecting their homes, running wild without the marines looking into it etc.

Breaking the Shichibukai up would mean Boa Hancock having to either flee or find another way to defend her island, Doflamingo being kind of screwed, Hawkeye doing whatever he was planning on doing anyway, and Buggy... well, leave that to your imagination.

I can definitely see Amazon Lily getting visited by a Buster Call... We know the Marines will still have control of Kuma, and probably use him to kill off the rest of the 7. Come to think of it, the list of Shichibukai who've betrayed the government: Jimbei, Boa Hancock, Crocodile, BlackBeard, and Kuma!

We know the Admirals at this point are: Purple Tiger, Yellow Monkey, and Green Bull. I kinda feel like their capture of Bonney might have something to do with the Marines commanders now. What if Bonney has been used to restore former Fleet Admiral Kong to youth? Just a crazy theory since it's more than likely that the Marines got some monsters from the various countries around the world.

The Abolition of the Shichibukai makes sense with the Worst Generation running around, there are far too many of them for just 7 members (most of whom keep to themselves) to police! Originally these Pirates were picked for their fearsome natures, mainly to keep them from running amuck on the seas. Now that Akainu is in charge, it looks like he's ready to just deal with them and move the global conflict into it's final form. Once it's down to two factions, it'll only be a matter of time until one side comes out triumphant over the other.

Either way, it looks like Reverie is going to be badass.

The latest chapter was pretty awesome. I have some thoughts but I can't be bothered posting them all here considering I've already written them on my blog in my review.

I do like the idea of Kuma being sent to hunt each one of them down. That would be pretty awesome I reckon. And your Bonney theory is pretty cool too. Imagine that. All the Admirals becoming young. Imagine Sengoku and Garp returning to their Youth! OMG!

At first I would think, "nothing" since the shichibukai, again, seem to cause more harm then good and don't seem to serve a real purpose. Striking fear in pirates? Since when have we seen these guys fight pirates--it's the marines that do all the work most of the time! That is, except for the Paramount War. There, while clearly they slacked off, they did defend against a massive pirate army.

At this point, I think the true reason the WG keeps these guys around is to protect them from the emperors. Probably not Blackbeard, at least not until he reaches Raftel. Probably not Shanks, and Big Mom seems a little lazy. But you know who think would love to maul an enemy while they're vulnerable? Kaidou, the same guy Donflamingo is afraid of. I don't know whether or not Kaidou wants to attack the WG, but his power and viciousness is enough to scare anyone.

This a bit of assumption, but I get the impression that while Fuji wants the shichibukai gone, he doesn't have everyone on his side yet. Donflamingo is the right guy for this arc to show as a supporter as the shichbukai system, both the shichibukai themselves and the WG benefit most from it. If it gets abolished, they'll gather their defenses and hole themselves in until it's safe.

To be real though, I would really love to see who the last Shichibukai is. We know that Dofla, Hancock, Kuma, and Mihawk are more than probably still Warlords, and we know that Law and Buggy are also Shichibukai, but who is the final member? That's one unknown variable.

The full capabilities and membership of the Marines is also an unknown.

I feel like at some point in this arc, CP-0 will move against Dofla and the Marines are there to make sure when he does fall it remains under the control of the World Government. Just like real-life Privateers, the Shichibukai were a temporary solution in the minds of those in control. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this plays itself out...

I think if the Shichibukai were disbanded it would create a power vacuum and cause more problems. If nothing else it kept really strong pirates' aggression pointed in another direction. Better to have someone in your tent pissing out than outside pissing in and all that. If nothing else, having a non-aggression pact with the world's strongest swordsman seems like a good idea.
