The day was moving along pretty slowly, a bit unusual for time at sea. The sun was obscured by the clouds an it looked like it was gonna rain again for the second day in a row. Gaius was asleep on his lawn chair on his small sailboat which he now shared with his crew mate Taffy. It had been a few days since they had both left out from Saint Reia after causing a bit of a commotion there.
As if to break the boredom of the day a small raindrop fell onto Gaius' cheek from the sky. He roused in his sleep. Then another fell on his nose and this time he rolled over and fell off the his make shift bed. Gaius had given Taffy the small room that was under the deck of the ship so she could have some privacy. But Gaius was getting kind of tired of falling off his little lawn chair over and over again just because he enjoyed rolling in his sleep. He got himself up off the deck. He sighed heavily. "We need a bigger ship." He said to himself.
Gaius looked up at the sky. From the shine that the sun gave off from behind the clouds he could tell it was late morning. He threw on a shirt and walked around to the end of the boat where a small hatch lay on the floor. He opened it and quietly whispered "Hey Taf. You awake?" he waited for a response. If none came he'd say it a little louder and so on and so on until she answered, she shot him with one of here candy rounds, or did something else. The second one made him chuckle to himself a little when he thought about it.
