With as much focus and professionalism the bear-man could muster, Garet quickly went through what he had managed to find out about how a 'lowly' Seaman like him managed to get a transfer to a specialist division to his new CO. He knew part of it had to do with his Devil Fruit power and he reported as much to Thor. Garet knew from the earlier display that Thor possessed a Devil Fruit himself, not uncommon among Officers, he also knew quite well that users of them were much sought after among the Marines.
Him having one was partly the reason why his former superiors only resorted to keeping him at the lowest rank possible once he managed to somehow get on their bad sides.
As far as the large man could figure out it was a combination of years served, his Fruit power and apparent potential combat skill that got the transfer paper past the first pencil pusher.
After Garet was dismissed, his entire body vissibly slumped down, settling back into it's very slight slouch, eyes losing their focus and a large yawn immediately ringing from his mouth. "Ugh, never got used to givin' reports properly, even four years in th' service. Lucky you don't hav'ta go through all this eh girl?" Garet chuckled a bit, crouching down to gently pick the small dog back up again.
Still holding his small companion, Garet quickly went back inside to the hospital room Isaac was resting in and grabbed his large trunk before quietly heading down to the front lobby. His size did a good job of getting any nurses or doctors from complaining about the dog he had in his hand.
Once down in the lobby, the grey haired giant pulled a large grey overcoat from out of his trunk, placing it on before turning to look at what was apparantly to be his new responsibility.
"Right lil'Puffball, guess I'm gonna be in charge'a taking care of you...least till the next island, 'less you feel like stayin'..." Garet cracked open the hospital door, his coat swaying in the cold air, a languid smirk found it's way to his face as he fixed his monocle back up his nose.
"So what'll be lil' lady?" no matter the dog's choice in the matter, Garet wasn't going to leave the little thing in some hospital on Sedna of all places, he just felt better knowing that he was offering a choice.
Why he was offering the choice to a dog of all things, he didn't know, but the bear-man could just...tell that she was more than met the eye.
Either way the dog would find itself snuggled in Garet's coat when he would leave the hospital to head to his new Division's ship.
