[OOC: Sorry for the delay, things have been busy and a bit Stressful IRL, Hopefully after this weekend things will settle back down. Also my apologies for the short response, due to stress… my creativity has been pretty low the last week.]
Just when he THOUGHT he had him, the thief slipped from his grasp. The room was crumbling in parts by this point due to the multiple explosions; the floor was mostly slanted and nearly impossible to stand upright on. He couldn’t believe the carelessness, he’d let the wiry little kid escape because of a few smoke bombs, flash bangs and explosions. Gretch struggled to stand once more, using his heavy stance to hold his place on the slanted marble floor. Piles of destroyed food and furniture were collecting in the casino below and many onlookers below were standing back with jaws agape at the destruction that had come seemingly from nowhere. Guards surrounded the rubble, and several casino workers were making attempts to shift around the heavy marble slabs from the ceiling to rescue any unfortunates who had been stuck under the collapsing ceilings.
Gretch was furious; he knew this whole mess would reflect poorly on him if he didn’t have something to show for it all. He turned to the remaining lackeys and shot them a paralyzing stare. “Catch the boy… and don’t let him use any more bombs… Keith and I will handle the Fishman…” They were each picking themselves up still from the collapsing of part of the floor, not finding it as easy to stand as Gretch seemed to make it look. Still Hilds, Reagar, and Johnny the remaining full-fledged hunters quickly took off, charging down onto the floor below quickly followed by the rookie hunters. “Mary-anne…” He spoke with a rather agitated voice as he called out to the remaining medic from their team. “Get down below and see if anyone needs to be tended to… I don’t want Agustus giving me shit about people dying here.” The last remaining girl gave a quick nod of her head, quickly dropping below as well. They were all gone now, it was just Gretch, Suigetsu and Keith left.
The hunters quickly began to take to their roles, throwing people aside and ordering around the guards. They were determined to find Zeak… after all no one wanted to face Gretch and tell him they’d failed in their assignment. Meanwhile, Keith was still recovering from the blast as well. As the floor fell out, it seemed he had slipped on the fishman’s ink puddle and was now forcibly pulling the fishman’s arm out of its socket from the way he’d fallen. Keith was on his back on the ground, his arms still wrapped around the fishman’s arm which was being pulled behind him and beneath his own legs. It didn’t look very pleasant, and it made it look like the fishman was flailing about with his sword arms trying to stab at Keith. Gretch bolted forward, releasing the pressure valve from his left foot once more and sending himself hurdling straight at the fishman leading with the steel plated edge of his left arm. With the way Keith was holding the fishman, a full on attack like this might be just the ticket to taking that monster off his feet.
