'Put down the sword Miss Tashigi. We simply want the ship.'
'L-Like I'm going to let you get away with anything!'
'Ugh... How do I put this, you're out of your league?'
'Don't underestimate me!'
Arashio pushed his glasses up his nose with one finger, stretching out his arms as if offering the challenge to Tashigi, a look that can only be described as lazy plastered across his face, he didn't even value the challenge. 'I am simply predicting, you are more than welcome to prove me wrong.' Tashigi's body tensed from his words, twisting her hands harshly against her blade as the stand off continued, yells and and firearms whispering around them and bouncing off the large warehouse type structure 'So... Are we going to begin, I'm a little short on time you see.' Tashigi grunted, adjusting her footing and kicking off the ground, sprinting towards the pirate and gritting her teeth behind a strong side strike as it stopped in its tracks before it even properly began. 'B-But..' Her words didn't come out in any more accuracy as what had just happened, Arashio had simply raised his hand in defence, taking the shape of a curved white blade which replaced his hand and part of his arm. 'The truth is revealed, Miss Tashigi.' The dead-lock continued, Tashigi's eyebrows furrowed and tensed as she attempted to push against the solid obstacle in front of her blade. 'You cannot beat me, as predicted.' Tashigi's response was nothing of her usual self, tilting her sword to the side as it slid off the solidified white opposing blade, angling and crashing back down on Arashio's head with a scream behind her strike. The man seemed to almost fade, Tashigi shuffling on the spot as her sword suddenly was unable to move. The pirate body reformed, putting his glasses back onto his face as he cracked his neck to one side, flicking the sword which was locked between his eyes and going out the back of his head.
'Good strike... But my now seemingly factual prior prediction still stands.' He applied a sharp force to one side, the sword sliding out of his head and causing the pushing Tashigi to stumble to one side, Arashio looking behind him in curiosity of the ships progress. 'Are we ready to leave yet? It's important we keep on schedule!' The men on the boat nodded and shouted across their conformations, Arashio looked back towards the panting swordsman as she stood slumped with a sharp glare towards him. 'Looks like your time is up.' He clenched his arm, it once again forming into a solid white blade like shape, recoiling his arm in line with Tashigi's exhausted body. 'Captain! We have a boat emerging from the water ahead!' A grunt came from the pirate, his arm changing back in an instant of swishes and crunches, adjusting his glasses as he turned to get on the ship down the path. 'Alright-alright... Get ready to move!' Tashigi was left on the spot for a recollection moment she had felt too many times before, left to live after clearly being shown as the weaker link in a fight. She went to move, simply falling to her knees instead as she realised a wound skimmed her leg from the marine's misfire as his weapon was sliced in two. It was just a scratch but now that her adrenaline was starting to fail her the pain came all too sharply. 'Wait dammit..' This wasn't what she promised, what she vowed even, she was supposed to be strong! 'Waaaait..!~' she slurred out, mustering up the tolerance for the small wound and tired limbs as she began to walk slowly after the man.
'Got to stop that boat.. Got to stop that man..' The idea that he possessed a fruit was the least of her concerns, and maybe the more sensible Tashigi would have noted that a boat if not more were coming to intercept their departure. Smoker would be on his way soon, if not already approaching from a different direction, ready to save the day like the marines always did. 'Come on!' She yelled at herself, smacking her leg with the handle of her blade as her adrenaline decided to spare one last dose, kicking into run as the boat began to leave the porting area. Adjusting her sword and continuing to run she watched as any means of running onto the ship had been passed, she was going to have the jump. But the ship was huge! Must've been a large amount of people who had escaped or more waiting for them to grab the ship and return? What was the motives behind this secret mission inside the base? Who underestimated such a strong pirate and his crew? 'Alright! Here goes!' She yelled to herself as she spun her sword in her hand to point in the opposite direction, kicking off the dock and stabbing at the boat as she sword easily carved into and hooked to the boats frame. Tashigi clung onto her sword, flailing one arm with little to no vision as the water began to blast up and twirl around her as the boat came into a speedy motion. 'Come on, come on!' With a quick grip she pulled at it as quickly as she could, pushing herself up with her sword and rolling onto the ship with her weapon dragging up behind her. She caught her breath, standing to realise the large boat lived up to her previous title, and apparently no one had seen her get on which was the first thing luck had decided to give her today.
She gave the place a quick glance, wiping the water from her eyes as she scanned the deck to mark the many marines and pirates manning it as the red caped man stood at the front pointing and shouting at the others. 'If I can't take him down..' She grunted to herself, shaking her sword clean of the water and wood which covered it as she began to head towards Arashio, many of the men on deck slowly noticing her at the corner of their eye and shouting to alert one another of her presence. One tried to attack right away, quickly falling off the boat after taking a quick swipe to the chest and pulling back from suprise and over the wooden beams of the ship. The men had formed a protection formation of sorts while others prepared the ship for departure, Tashigi taking a stand rather than continuing to advance, she wouldn't be able to take them all on in haste. 'I'll keep them at bay..' She mumbled to herself, motioning for the them to bring it on as she positioned her sword at the center of her body.
'For as long as I can.'
