[/size]Only a day or so has passed since the event that has been named the 'Hard-Hat Homecoming' had come and gone in all its glory, the marines leaving little time through the weather and destroyed ships that scattered the docks to chase them in force. The weather had come to a peaceful standstill, clear skies and scorching temperatures resting upon the Jericho for the majority of their free sailing. Eimi had no choice but to tag along with her brother after the event, settling in nicely with the crew by sleeping the majority of the time. The dust had settled, wounds had begun to heal and hope for the future had been a topic on everyone's mind, and more so his crew as far as Torin was concerned, the Grand Line awaited, a thing his crew probably wanted more than himself now... Though thoughts of connecting with the ones he calls Nakama slowly came to the front of his mind.______________________________
'So was this how you wanted it?'
It was by far the earliest Torin had been up in a long time, ever come to think of it. He had been watching the sun rise for yet another day, something he was hardly able to do back when he was underground for most of his day. He found peace in it, an excuse to start anew every time it came back up. New things to do, more people to see, more places to visit... It was all a bit poetic for Torin, maybe he should have just stayed asleep, he was freaking himself out. His sister had woken up after days of solid sleep to sit beside Torin another atop the front of the ship, stitched and bandaged to the best of Torin's and Robin's ability, after all these hectic escapades and adventure it was nice to just be able to catch up with his Sister. 'You remember what we used to talk about? The Old man wanted the world of us..' Eimi was seated almost insecure like, which was weird for the woman, her legs up close and her arms wrapped around them as she sunk her face into her knees. 'He wanted us to be marines, hang around together and reforge them like he would!' Torin put on the Old man's voice as he finished his sentence, a chuckle bouncing between the both of them. 'How's the helmet?' She got a grunt in response, it was a lot harder to repair a triple reinforced metal plated steel woven helmet, in comparison to your normal helmet that is. 'It looks better at least.' Torin sighed at the simple thought of the work he'd have to put into it, only made his sister laugh quietly once again.
'Do they know much about them?' Torin turned to look at Eimi directly, curiosity lighting up his face. 'Mom? Dad? The Old man?' Torin shook his head. 'It's never been important.' His consequence was a light nudge with Eimi's knee, shaking her head with a drawn out sigh. 'I've been with a lot of crews, Torin. If you don't connect with them... You'll be in this situation all the time.' Torin didn't know whether to feel advised or insulted. 'Don't give me that face either, you know what I meant.' Torin gave a light smile, he found it funny how Eimi was always the one talking with them, he only had to make a motion and she knew exactly what he was talking about. He turned to look over the boat, imagining everyone sleeping in there respective places. 'All because of me..' 'They look up to you, Torin.'
'What? No... I'm like the smart guy who assigned himself.'
'You're their captain, how do you think they all got here?'
'I dunno.. I just..'
'Exactly, you just.. You' Torin would have blushed had he not been such a man and control such unmanly feelings... Yea, lets call it that. 'You think they should know then?' Eimi nodded, standing up on the turtles head and stretching one limb after the other. 'I think they should tell you, get to know them, they'll be around longer than you think.' And with that the wise woman departed, Torin giving his helmet a quick tap as the patch up would have to do, taking out his notepad he flipped through the pages and pulled out an unused picture. 'What am I going to do with you guys..' He pressed the picture against his forehead, putting the parent picture back to the book, slipping to the right page and beginning his new ideas... amazing how many ideas can come from blowing up a town. Everything else could wait for now.
They were safe, after all.
