Today was a special day. It was today that one of the more established recruits would come strolling in—not to mention she was somewhat of a middle aged looker making it imperative that the Director got to know her a little better. Natai had more than wowed the man and now he wondering just how…advanced she was after hearing rumors of her prowess and more notably about the fact that she possessed a Devil fruit of the rarest kind. He wouldn’t have to wait too long before a blind folded young pretty would suddenly be brought before him just outside of the camp’s tent; a setting suitable for meeting a lady even if she was about to work under him.
“Ah, what a pleasure. Captain Natai Praxia in the flesh.”
The refined tone edging the man’s voice would belie the seriously dark motives that lay beneath, but for now those remained at the very back of the tallish man’s thoughts as he raised to tenderly cusp that woman’s hand. Taking a knee in an old fashioned manner he kissed the hand he held before rising again, noting kneely how supple the woman was as well as the same determined fix to her eyes that she’d made excellent use of during their first meeting. “All pleasantries aside, Captain I hope by now you’re aware of who I am…and what you are here for.” Replacing the mild mannered gentlemen from a few moments ago, a predatory look peered out towards the displaced Captain as the Director picked up the out-of-place glass of red wine he’d been sipping earlier. Her rank, her beauty, and even the convictions she’d made very clear during the interrogation meant little to him now—now he was only concerned with restoring the name of CP9 as he’d been tasked to in the first place.
“This is where Cipher Pol Nine recruits are trained and bred into killing hounds…and you will kill when the order is given to if not exactly how it is given to you. It does leave a certain taste in my mouth that sits ill with me, but that is the way of things. Now! Your first task will be to learn Shigan…one of the six superhuman arts.”
It was a talk that had been had many times now and was truthfully getting very old. Each recruit seemed to have their own way of doing things and came in believing that there were well suited to any sort of situation that might arise. How could they not be? In the blues where criminals were ranging from common felons to serial killers, there was no real need to possess the skills required to take down giants and monsters of legend….
However those monsters did exist and the world would have need of those who could fight them. It occurred to the Director that despite of her intelligent looks and the knoweldgable background she’d come from, the dark haired woman before him might not be familiar with Rokushiki or what that would even mean to her.
“First thing’s first. Tell me what you know of Rokushiki and the six arts that comprise the form.”
