For the past few weeks the unnatural beast that is the Silverback Bear had been rampaging all over Veldesh Kingdom. The people had fled the countryside in an attempt to escape the terrors of this strange beast but now it seemed that the Bear had decided to attack even Kingstown, the largest city on the island. Despite repeated attempts the marine forces of the island have been completely unable to stave of the beast and no reinforcements have been sent from the Marine HQ.
For this reason the kingdom has offered anyone who can take down the beast a huge sum of beri. This has lead to a stream of fighters from all over the world to try and take down this beast, not all of them of sound reputation.

Loec couldn't help but smile has he sat atop the 3 story building of the "broken bottle". The tavern had become the home of over a hundred fighters from across the world that were here to take down the great Silverback Bear. He had himself gone here for a very similar reason. He admitted that the beri involved was very tempting and even his body had needs, despite his repeated attempts to survive off of the joys of this world. But what had most interested him was the idea of hundreds of fighters, bad or good, trying to take on this beast. He was going to enjoy their misguided attempts at heroism or shows of power.
"Hehe, what an amusing sight" he chuckled to himself as he took a quick scan around the roof. It was a flat roof and the top had been turned into a huge diner of a sort, with men and women drinking all around. There were swordsmen, gunslingers, martial artists and all other manner of fighters here. Off in the distance the roar of the beast could be heard as it made it's way steadily towards the town. Most expected it to arrive some time in the morning so the men were gorging themselves on drink and food whilst they still had the chance.
There seemed to be some sort of fight breaking out in the middle of the dining area and Loec turned with great interest and a smile on his face to watch the fight. He was perched on a large metal pole that was standing up from one of the corners of the roof, giving him a nice view of the scene, though it did make him stick out somewhat.
