There straight ahead of him was the imposing figure. It's massiveness blocked out the light of the doorway as it took a step forward closer toward him. Kane reflexively backed up, the heel of his shoe meeting wall instead of safety. In his hand he clasped a yellow star-shaped fruit. It could have been a normal fruit except for the fact that it wasn't. One bite of it would render the consumer unable to swim and also grant him or her with incredible, and mysterious, powers. Another step and the red head rose the fruit to his lips nervously. He was out of options. He had to stop Mad Jack before it was too late...
Kane went to bite down only to suddenly trip in his dream and fall. In reality he sleepily opened brilliant blue colored eyes to find himself spiraled on a wooden floor, the blanket he had slept on wrapped around his body like he had been in battle with a serpant and had lost terribly. His pillow was clasped in his hands and his mouth was dangerously close to it. There was even some drool on the pillow sheet. "Ew..." Kane grumbled sleepily before shoving the object he had nearly tasted in his sleep away from him. His stomach rumbled as if in protest to his refusal. What was he going to do for breakfast?
That's when the flood of memories about the day before came rushing back into Kane's mind and he suddenly bolted up right on the floor, turning his head this way and that as if to confirm that he was indeed on the floor of his new ship. Not to mention that he was on that ship with four other crew mates, all of whom had just joined the Hoshi crew the day before. Amisi, Shisha, Tenkei, and finally Ike were all onboard.
Excitement screamed in the red head's mind as he scrambled to his feet, threw off the blanket that binded him, and rushed to find the restroom. After a quick clean up where he nearly brushed his hair with a toothbrush he had found (unused, thank goodness!) and brushed his teeth with a hair comb, Kane practically flew up to he deck of the ship. A soft breeze ruffled the captain's hair as well as the clothes, unwashed but luckily smelling alright still thanks to his mishap in the ocean yesterday, that he wore. Running to the railing, Kane was amazed by the sight he saw. Up ahead he could clearly make out the buildings that stood erect on the island of Mirrorball. They were almost there! Kane thought about waking them all up and nearly decided against it.
"Hey guys, come look! We're almost at Mirrorball!" he shouted loudly down below.
