~The Destiny Pirates had battled against the waves that surrounded Reverse Mountain and had come out victorious thanks to the amazing helmsman-ship of Loec. Having traveled across the East Blue's, Captain Gerard had gathered a healthy crew of individuals who chased their Destinies. It was time to take on the final obstacle in their way in reaching the Grand-Line~
Gerard noticed Kuji was still knocked out and moved onto sit beside the whale-man, kneeling before him to check on his pulse again. He was breathing fine and although his heart rate was up a pinch, Gerard was confident he would be fine. It was at that very moment, Kuji took in a deep breath and sat up, confused and shaking at what had happened. He looked at his body once more and his safe was distorted in disapproval. "Gerard-San," Kuji panted, "I don't think this is going to work. That pill- ... I just had the worst nightmare ever... And my body doesn't feel right. I don't think this is going to workout." Kuji gave his viewpoints to Gerard.
"Hey, I understand your concerns but this is the only way. As with most drugs, there are bound to be side-effects and it will take a while to get used-..." Gerard was still in mid-sentence when Kuji interrupted.
"It's not something I want to get used to. It was really nice traveling across the sea with you on this small journey we had but I don't think I'm ready for this yet. I would love to join you someday but not quite yet." Kuji said before looking up at the jolly roger that waved on the mast of the 'New World'. "I don't think it's time yet. When the jolly roger calls me once more, I will be ready to take on the world."
Gerard sat quietly beside the whale-man, considering how he felt before placing a hand on Kuji's back. "I understand your decision. I guess we'll find a replacement navigator somewhere down the line." Gerard paused before taking a look over to Loec again. "At least we've bagged one hell-of-a-helmsman. We should be able to get up reverse mountain with his skill. Thanks for the time you did spend with us. Hopefully we will meet again someday."
