Utopias are hidden places ruled by peace, and calmness. Where no fights broke out, just the beauty of nature. It is a civilization that only some people in the world know. You might not step on a utopia in your lifetime, because utopias are hidden in the deepest parts of the jungles, the restricted places, or even the deepest parts of the ocean. You can even find a utopia in a city, underground. Way, way underground that no one knows that it exist. Only a couple. But that is another story way beyond our story. This story starts out with the Hoshi Pirates, Star Pirates, lead by an orange-haired, fairly tall, captain, Kane. Like every human beings in the world, you might know what pirates looked like, and behaved like. They're rowdy, some fat, some very thin, always had a wooden peg in place of their right leg, an eye patch, a scar in their face, a sword handle strapped to their belt, and a flag with crossbones flying freely with the wind. But, in this case, Kane's crew and him, were a little bit out there. Kane and his crew looked like a bunch of teenagers, and they don't have those distinct pirate styles I listed, just crossbones. And even then, they had a different type of style as at least nine or about ten stars encircles the smiling crossbone flag. I would like to discuss more about Kane's crew, but the situation right now does not agree.[/size]
Kane's crew and its ship drifted to the sea from Loguetown that night. The crew had a rough battle with marines surrounded in the island, and somehow, they all end up helping each other to defeat an enemy. While this was happening, their temporary pirate, Mikan Ichinose, was kidnapped by a group of people, consisting of five, wearing black tuxedos, and jet-black sunglasses. In the group, there was a woman who confronted Kane's crew first, but at the end, drifted out of the island along with Mikan, and the mysterious, yet totally cool, group, leaving Kane's group with something: a U-shaped magnet the size of an eleven-sized shoe. It is quite big for a normal magnet, though it worked like a magnet.
Mikan was a doctor, and had boarded up on Kane's ship from Mirrorball Island where she decided to sneak in. She decided she'll leave the crew at the next island, since she thought she was a bother to everyone. When she was kidnapped though, Mikan's shout of help made Kane want to take her back with them. Mikan, little did she know, that she was already part of the crew. Though, she wasn't really invited officially, but she was of course, part of it. Along with Mikan, David, someone they met in the open seas of East Blue, was recruited by Kane to be a part of their growing crew.
As the ship continued sailing through the darkness of the ocean, Mikan was tied up in a bed under the oceans inside a black large submarine headed to a certain utopia where the story will take place. The submarine was under the ocean just tens of kilometers away from Kane's Ship - Shooting Star, though they did not know that, since the submarine was submerged in the ocean. They were hidden by a lot of water. Mikan was sleeping, and hadn't noticed that they left Loguetown. She heard dripping sounds from the room, and somehow, this woke Mikan up. She opened her eyes closely, her visions slowly clearing up. She noticed she was in a small square-shaped silver room. There was nothing in it, except for the bed she was lying on. After a couple of minutes, she finally understood what happened to her. She was kidnapped. She felt the rough edges of the rope on her skin, as she tries to wriggle out of it. She tried to scream, but she also felt that her mouth had a white piece of mantel strapped on her mouth. In front of her was a silver door with no doorknobs on it. Just a small square opening at the top with bars placed strategically.
Where am I?, she wondered to herself. The voice in her head had this tense feeling as she said it. She was obviously confused and scared. Then, something popped in her head. Why not turn into petals. Her devil fruit - Sahi Sahi No Mi, a logia fruit that allows her to turn into flowers, and petals. She tried to do it, but nothing happened. Just the feeling of being hopeless wash ashore in her. She thought that the rope must be made of kairouseki - the common enemy of the devil fruit. Devil fruits, as you know, are fruits that grants the person who eats it an abnormal power. It would have been a very godly power, if it didn't had a bad side to it. Along with the power's obvious weakness, like flower can burn in fire, the fruit also came with the user's inability to swim. No one really knows why, but if the devil fruit user tried to swim, they would drown to death if no one saved them. A hammer in the water, as the phrases say. Kairouseki is a very hard material with the vibe of the oceans embedded on it. It has the same effect as an ocean to devil fruits. They feel tired, and they can't do anything to it.
Mikan finally sighed, knowing that she won't be able to come out of the ropes. Then, she heard it. Along with the occasional drip from the ceiling at the hallways, she heard a couple of footsteps. Fear slowly conquered her body, rendering her already binded body.
It's going to kill me. Help, help!, she cried inside her head frantically. But, she felt it was useless when she noticed no one can hear somebody else's scream. Plus, if anyone did, the only person who will be able to hear this would be the very enemy she wanted help to fend off. She swallowed her own saliva, as she waited for the footsteps to open the door. She waited with bated breath, as she closed her eyes, ready for anything - a Cerberus, a minotaur, the pirate king Gold Roger, anything. Her hair on her neck stood up as she heard the footsteps stop in front of her door. She couldn't see anything on the bar, just a big black shadow cast on to the ceiling at the hallway. She started sweating like she was under the sun with multiple jackets on. She heard something click and knew that it was the key. The door latched open, and the door started to open, slowly. Mikan closed her eyes.
Fortunately it was no blazing dog with three heads fused together that was supposed to be the gatekeeper of Hades, nor a half-man, half-bull hybrid. It also wasn't Gold Roger, the late pirate king. It was a woman with a black suit.
"Bokokokokoko,"
That weird laugh was the last thing she heard before seeing a huge black thing hovering towards her, knocking her unconscious. Personally, I would have preferred a Cerberus, a Minotaur, or Gold Roger's ghost, because Mikan was going to a place much more dangerous than those three multiplied together. It also, unfortunately, wasn't the utopia like you, the reader, would hope for our Dear Mikan.
