The cold winds of the North Blue beat upon the hull of the rather odd looking ship clad in gold. Sea foam splattered against the vessel, as if attempting to push it back. Still the ship sailed on stubbornly, a trait of it's captain, El Drago.
The Golden Drago was a large, ornate ship made of gold. She had two decks, each with several canon holes. The shell of the ship was made of gold laced wood, so it wasn't truly solid gold in that regard. However, there were gold scales of armor plating some of the areas near the masthead and the back of the boat. The second deck was larger than the higher one, and was where the brig and crew's quarters were. It also contained the kitchen. The first floor was the galley, where the crew would hold meal time and meetings with their captain.
The golden vessel had three masts, each with a crow's nest, with the tallest, central mast holding a second nest. In each nest was a crew-member bearing a flintlock and a telescope. Each mast had a long rigging to allow someone to climb to the nests. In addition, each bore a huge, wind-catching sail, while the middle mast had another, smaller sail, as well as a jolly roger on its top. The jolly roger depicted a growling lion with crossbones behind it.
The tip of the hull was graced with a gold masthead in the shape of a growling lion, not unlike the jolly roger. It was quite magnificent. The sides of the ship were lined with railing, obviously to prevent things or people from falling overboard. In the middle of the boat, right below the center mast was a purple dome, which happened to be where the captain kept most of his golden hoard. It was like a small trophy chamber of sorts. The rest though, he kept in his cabin.
Speaking of which, his cabin was right in the back of the vessel, with two floors all to himself. The lower floor was his living room of sorts. Here he had a sitting table made of gold topped with a book on the chemical properties of gold. He had a golden colored recliner chair, as well as bookshelf also colored as such. Multiple volumes all pertaining to various gold related subjects neatly lined the shelf. The upper floor was his bedroom, where his golden bed was kept as well as his dresser.
The ship, in it's entirety then, spoke not only of the captain's stubbornness, but also of his profound obsession with gold. The Golden Drago, as it was called, continued its voyage in North Blue.
Standing proudly by the masthead was a large figure with long, shaggy red hair that resembled a mane, sharp teeth, very tan skin, some sharp golden claws, and some gold armor covering a loose, white shirt with black shorts and a purple cape. His appearance clearly resembled that of a lion. The man was El Drago, in the flesh.
He stood their, staring out into the horizon muttering to himself, bitter.
"It's been two years Straw Hat, and I'm still looking...where in the Blues could this man be!" It was clear the this man wasn't the brightest, as even the most casual citizen could tell just by reading the news that Straw Hat Luffy had long since passed through the first half of the Grand Line. El Drago, however, never read the news. Despite some honest attempts by his crew to convince him they were looking in all the wrong places, he would never listen to reason. He was dead-set on finding this pirate, but he would never guess that the man would have sailed off to the fabled Grand Line. Surely he was hiding somewhere in these Blues!
The only desire more powerful than finding Luffy, was the pursuit of gold. The lion adored it to no end, his ship clearly displaying this. At the moment, he had just entered the North Blue, looking for Luffy, but his object of attention would often change on a whim. His crew had long since adjusted to their captain's random swings between his two objectives. It was only a matter of time before gold retook his mind. And it took all of five minutes.
The lion-faced man turned around and shouted, "All right crew! We are going to go looking for some gold on the nearest island!"
As soon as he shouted this, a few dozen men, quickly appeared at attention on the deck before him. Despite his idiocy and his rather odd gold fetish, his crew put up with him because of his power and the pay of working for him.
"Alright then! Burt, where's the nearest isle?" He barked.
A man with a goatee, sunglasses, and baggy pants spoke up. He was the navigator.
"Amino sir."
"Excellent. Set our course, and let's get us some gold!"
His crew roared with approval, as the Golden Drago set its heading for Amino Island.
